The Challenge | Internet on the Ocean

The internet is not easily accessible in many areas of the world, like the Earth’s oceans. Fishermen, sailors, and others have limited data connection with the rest of the world. Although satellite internet is widely available, it is very expensive for a user to implement. Your challenge is to design a low-cost method of delivering internet to people located far away on the ocean.

Li-Fi

This solution requires to put the li_fi at the middle of ocean to receive signal from satellite by DTN "signal" the Next Step connect Li-Fi with repeater to Duplicate and Repeat signal.. we put Repeater as spider web to cover all Areas at the ocean .

Challenge:

Human are becoming More reliant on internet connectivity as each year passes for these who are located in populative urbon areas .

Materials that we used :

1_Li-fi

2_ Repeater

3_ turbines

Test plan :

Repeater and li-fi require electricity to work , so we used turbines or the voltage difference or chemical component of the salt of the ocean or use solar cell to generate electricity , there are different cost and effect of this types .

Why we use Li-Fi instead of wi -fi?

Because Li-Fi send signal with light but wi-fi send signal with radio wave and radio wave Harms Human and fishes , the Li-Fi is better than wi-fi and has low cost

Conclusion:

Li-fi is best solution to use internet in the ocean because his cost help sailor to use it and the light waves help to get a good a good effect with the Repeaters to cover all the ocean ..

*Recommendations:

We Need to make a sensor in the Repeater to help sailors to know that there is a Repeater close to them , so sensor need to send a signal to the ship or boat .we need to cover all the repeaters with use the corec paper to make it flout in the ocean and cover Repeaters vamished PCB and with Re send treatment gives high water , dust and vibrations protection.....
