The Challenge | Internet on the Ocean

The internet is not easily accessible in many areas of the world, like the Earth’s oceans. Fishermen, sailors, and others have limited data connection with the rest of the world. Although satellite internet is widely available, it is very expensive for a user to implement. Your challenge is to design a low-cost method of delivering internet to people located far away on the ocean.

Ways to provide internet on the oceans

Effective ways to provide internet on the oceans worlwide through out ships, bouys, islets and oil platforms. Also, we have backup solutions in case of problems.

More specific:

1.Main antennas will be installed throught out every continents coastlines. (4G dual band)

2.Taking advantage of underwater cables that reach far away islands in the oceans in order to install 4G same antennas just like in costlines.

3. Enstablish antennas on the ships which they receive and transmit signals in order to communicate with each other. Making something like a spider web.

4.With the collaboration of marine oil rigs we can also install both receivers and transmitter.

5.Floatable platforms with again both receivers and transmitters but due to earth's curvature we have to make them high enough in order for the signal to travel far and also an energy problem arises.

6.Fish!! There is an new method that we can take advantage of marine life, with absolutely no treat to their lives, to attach them repeaters planted in their food and absorbed by their intestine.

7. Satellite internet will only used in the blind spots or if we have an temporary disconnection from the hosts.
