The Challenge | Rising Water

Sea levels are rising around the world, and approximately 40% of the human population lives in coastal zones. Your challenge is to help communicate the impacts of rising oceans by creating a visualization tool that illustrates the changes caused by rising sea levels in your region.

Evolution on the way

The purpose of the app is to alert and highlight the risks of sea level rise to residents who reside near the coast.

Motivation

Mankind has been increasingly affecting the planet lately, about 40% of the world's population lives near the coast, and are not warned when sea levels rise.

Solution

We created 3 possibilities of assistance to the population;

The first is a Jason 2 satellite-controlled device that measures ocean level and warns when it rises, it is used at home;

The second is an application that has information about the sea level through a map, it is also intended to educate in a friendly and useful way, by which the user can set up a smart bracelet;

The third is a bracelet that caters to people who receive special care, such as the visually impaired and hearing impaired.
