Global Nominee

The Challenge | Rising Water

Sea levels are rising around the world, and approximately 40% of the human population lives in coastal zones. Your challenge is to help communicate the impacts of rising oceans by creating a visualization tool that illustrates the changes caused by rising sea levels in your region.

Harmony

Our idea is to spread the awareness of global warming impacts on our future. By using NASA data, we came up with a platform provided with AR technology and Co2 calculator in a simplified way to identify and control everyone's usage and make him think green

Harmony

Motivations:

Raising of the sea level is a global problem, global problem that has been threatening our world for the last few years. And after doing all the research we found that it is always because of the carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere. Raising of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere causes the raising of the temperature Which leads to melting the ice land and the thermal expansion of water that leads to the great increase in sea levels. all human beings should be completely aware of this alarming problem as actually we are all part of this.

Vision:

Our Vision is to give green thinkers the power to innovate and find support to make the world better and to teach children more about their world.

Application:

That's why we came up with harmony, A platform that serve more than one sector in this challenge, firstly by raising the awareness and providing the data for all users especially teenagers who will build our future, by using NASA data which provides us by vital signs and graphs in a simplified way through our application everyone can identify the risk in his city and using AR technology in the application make it more interactive and more attractive to kids and teenagers even more to adults. We add CO2 calculator for anyone to calculate his contribution and control his own usage to become a part of the solution by completing some tasks like planting a tree or riding a bike.

Through this way he will help the user limit his usage and get rewarding points for his participation. And as we said before, it's a global problem that needs a global cooperation so we created harmony hub which is a crowd funding platform where everyone can submit his own project or campaign to save his society and users will participate by voting and/or donating for this project and monthly we will choose best ideas to be funded and helped by global organizations. Following this mindset we are looking forward to becoming the first ecosystem that host and support change makers and green thinkers.

Anyone who wants to live in "Harmony".

Future plans:

We want to be the most user-friendly app worldwide and this motivates us to use analytic tools in our app just like Google Analytics to understand our different users' behavior on our app then use machine learning to improve our understanding so we will use Diib to examine every single part of our app to give each and every user data he needs.

Business wise we will take these steps:

- Making partnerships with global organization like NASA and UNEP.

- Putting our market and go to market plan.

Technical future plan:

- Programming IOS version and websites

-Using Augmented Reality on different Operation Systems.

Tools used:

  • Android Studio.
  • Adobe XD.
  • Unity 3D.
  • Adobe Photoshop.
  • Atom.
  • WebStorm.
  • Postman.
