We worked on the application, each doing their assigned roles. Once the VR has been fixed, the app was built to test for bugs. So far, there haven't been any problems with the VR and the 3D visualization. We started discussing our pitch and our video.
We finished making the powerpoint for our pitch and assigned roles.

We started working on the assets we plan to use in our application. We assigned our roles in the team to make things more efficient and quick. So far, we finished the title screen using the NASA 3D Earth Model and an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.

Our team, SALEM, aims to simulate and visualize the effects of rising water levels on coastal civilizations. We take Davao City coastal civilizations as an example and present the user with a 3D visualization of the coastline and the rest of the areas which are affected by high tides or high sea levels.
Different factors can be manipulated by the user to show how they affect the sea levels. The user can look closer to see how the rising sea levels affect the humans living on the coast or near the coast; how they react or how much damage is caused. In addition, temperatures in the area will be presented to show the user how serious the problem is.
With this app, we hope to increase the awareness of the rising water levels caused by global warming and other factors. The users can realize how their actions help improve or deteriorate the state of the world in terms of the sea levels.
That is our main idea as of 101819 1117.
