The Challenge | Rising Water
Sea levels are rising around the world, and approximately 40% of the human population lives in coastal zones. Your challenge is to help communicate the impacts of rising oceans by creating a visualization tool that illustrates the changes caused by rising sea levels in your region.

Mobile game with quests both in the virtual and the real world to try and mitigate sea level rise.
There's plenty of information about sea level rise on different scientific sites such as NASA or IPCC, however they are not as easy to visualize or to understand for the majority of the population. We need a way to reach as many people as possible and keep them interested on the topic.
Our main objective is to present mockups with the main features of the application and some planning about costs and strategy.
We used resources from NASA's Vital Signs of the Planet to present charts showing the historic sea levels (https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/sea-level/)
We also reviewed images from satellite altimeters to understand the actual status of sea level rise in our Country (https://sealevel.nasa.gov/understanding-sea-level/...)
