The problem:

Plastic pollution is considered one of the greatest dangers that threatens marine life all over the world, in oceans there are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the oceans, of that mass, 269000 tons float on the surface, while some four billion plastic microplastics per square kilometer litter the deep sea. The UN estimates that the quantity of plastic in oceans will be more than the quantity of fishes, and there will be islands of plastic rubbish .

Scientist find out that plastic reacts slowly with water and produce poisonous chemicals that hurt marine life specially (Phytoplankton) which produce half of oxygen in the world, these chemicals affect man and cause many diseases such as cancer, hormonal problems, nervous system damage and kidney damage……etc.

So we should solve this problem efficiently and quickly.

The idea:

We did a project called(ROBO SEABIN CLEANUP) the main idea of the project is to make use of artificial whirlpool in collecting plastic rubbish in a basket.

The basket is made of strong plastic with an internal fiber mesh , this basket will be put under the surface of water with propeller fins that make the artificial whirlpool to collect plastic in this basket, we will put a sensor inside the basket to watch it. Incase the basket is full sensor will give an order to close the basket by Arduino board and change the direction of the fins from vertical to horizontal position.

This will change it into a boat that goes to toward the place where it will be emptied and return back its place to collect more.

In the future the oceans will be cleaned up of the plastic and the ocean will made safe environment for the marine life.

No plastic will lead to no poisoning of the water and the most important sorce of oxygen phytoplankton will not die.
