The use of fossil fuels within the international market has brought a large volume in the production of thermoplastics. Thermoplastics have a degradation time of around 400 years. Within the current market the high consumption of these thermoplastics is in relation to sanitation and packaging products, being easy to dispose of, easy to use and cheap in the market. However the disposal made by the world population occurs over the decades erroneously and with consequences of global pollution the river networks, oceans, forests and the environment. Within the oceans the disposal of these thermoplastics forms in their greatest concentration take the direction of in currents, causing the formation of "garbage islands". In order to solve this type of event, recycling has a viable and commercially profitable alternative. Through this the project was intended to use a collection and compacting station for thermoplastic waste in focus and segregation to collect this material for recycling. With this we developed a boat classified as catamaran with specification of 15m x 4m x 3m (consecutive Length, Width and Height). With a daily energy expenditure of 1000 KW, being powered with 100% solar energy. In the recycling process a compactor with 2 motors is used; one of 15hp and one of 16hp (for compactor and engine).
