Our ocean trap will be created to capture all the plastic specifically exists in the great pacific ocean patch which is located between Hawaii and California by a U shaped net as a coastline with a skirt to prevent the smaller particles from escaping underneath, It will float on the water moving with the ocean current to save energy, collect the plastics and take it out, we've designed our model to be slower than the plastics speed by using a parachute to be able to catch the plastics, also we've added a gate to our model which will close once the system being full of plastics to avoid any wastes.
