Oceanic garbage patches are collections of marine debris that come together due to ocean currents; they have devastating effects on ocean ecosystems. Your challenge is to design a mission to help clean up garbage from the ocean!
Flexible River Cleanup System
Our concept is having 2 rows of Hoberman spheres, joined together with a sturdy elastic cord, in a V-shape upstream, with its tip anchored to the river bed. They will lead any trash to the conveyor belts and will let the very big objects pass through.
