Esempio di utilizzo di Galileo^-1: https://youtu.be/ckzp2Po02q0
Background;
With the developing technology, people who use social media, follows scientific pages are aware of the success in the space industry. People say, ‘they landed on the Moon or on a comet, took a picture of Pluto. However, most of them do not know anything about how these missions are succeeded or what they use during missions. That is the starting point of this project. Galileo wants to raise the awareness of technology and methodology beyond some space missions.
What it does;
Galileo-1 is a mobile game that purposes enjoyable time to people and educate them about some basic satellite missions, used instruments on a satellite and some kind of data from these instruments. It is an opportunity to be in a NASA mission and experience the instruments with using them in the appropriate missions. As long as they pass the missions correctly, the new missions will open and the users can use new instruments with some combinations. The users will face some missions about hurricanes, fires, dust storms with analyzing the data from the instruments easily. They will see the locations, dates and density of the happenings.
Resources;
Some specific data from NASA (https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov) are used for the missions and some 3D models from NASA (https://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/) are used for the satellites and some instruments. These resources are used to show people the real data from the real instruments on satellites.
Where it will go;
The users can receive updates for the new missions with new events around the world and new scientific instruments. Since competition can increase the interest, an online multiplayer mode is planned to develop. In this way, Galileo-1 can reach more people around the world.
