Motivation

According to United Nations, there are more than 900 catastrophes, +10,000 deads and + 61,7 billion euros lost every year.

Wikimpact is able to apply and reproduce historical events, in the scientific and technological plane. Simulating these sets of aspects the user will have the challenge of looking for the best possible solutions to save our planet.

Solution

We live in a connected world and we can solve global challenges with the collective intelligence.

Based on the best Open Data System from NASA, we design challenges that will comply with United Nations DSG's, through the Gamification, Simple and Fun.

The user will play on a simulation of catastrophes that will last around 10' (instead of 10 years), while Warnings (based on real-time data) will affect the circustances, making the challenges more difficult.

She / he will have to solve the challenge by answering DSG based Decisions, and using several Resources, and will finally obtain some Conclusions that might help to solve the next challenge.

As young generations can easily experience Wikimpact, they will be much more curious about the Global Challenges.
