In the last year it was registered 850 world-wide natural disasters that caused 10.400 deaths and a deficit of $160 billion dollars.

Thinking about it we had an idea: make a product to notify citizens and public organs that a catastrophic event is in the imminence of occur, directly on their phones or via email.

The name chosen was S.A.C.I which is an acronym for Integral Community Support Service in Portuguese and also, is the name of a folkloric Brazilian icon: Saci-pererê, who is known for being a black boy with one leg and a red hat who does a lot of pranks to people and for this reason is associated with disasters.

During the Hackathon, we prototype an app and validate our idea developing an algorithm in python that will send emails to all city halls or competent organs nearby fire focus, in Brazil, obtained with NASA-FIRMS (Fire Information for Resource Management System).

But, in the future, we expect our project may have some features like:

• Chatbot - Giving some tips about the disaster such as evacuation protocols, safety areas, and first-aid actions;
• Risk Level - For people who made a register, we will set parameters of risk like users with child, old-aged or motor diseased relatives and we will notify depending on the risk level they have.
• Data by users - Some points can be passed away for our analysis and the users can help us to be better including their coordinates of a disaster.

And it will reach the following disasters around the world:

• Flooding;
• Dam Collapses;
• Droughts;
• Earthquakes.

This data can also help research groups and authorities to understand these events and helps everyone to do even more to guarantee that calamities like these will not happen again.

In Brazil the civil defense sends some text for risk people, however, the risk level is not considerate. For this reason, we believe our purpose is better, we can know more about the citizens and contribute to save them more efficiently.
