The Challenge | Rise to Resilience!
You are a newly appointed Regional Green Engineer. Your challenge is to develop green infrastructure solutions for complex challenges in water management and risk reduction.Create a tool to assess the characteristics of an urban or rural area of your choice, and integrate green infrastructures, or nature-based solutions, into that region’s development plans to1) reduce flood and/or drought risk2) establish sustainable land use practices3) support water management, and/or 4) produce local economic opportunities.
Open Water Resilience
Open Water Resilience, is a platform created to provide information related with blooding and drought. Also, this platform will collect data given by users in order to let this users to know safe places and other features to face these problems.
•To give to population in rural zones, information about problems that they are exposed to.
•To ease necessary information, in order to create projects that resolve efficiently the problems faced by this population.
•To encourage this population to participate actively, in order to generate data that may help to improve our solution.
