Summary

Our team "2030" has goal to achieve the SDG number 6, againts the problem of basic sanitation and the difficult access of potable water in many regions over the world. Its chemicals properties cause the water impurities to precipitate, making the water clear and free of microorganism.

Hello! We are the 2030 team, we are here to talk about challenge number 20 (Esmage your ODS), where we were challenged to choose an ODS and propose a solution, so we accepted the challenge of "ODS 6: clean water and sanitation".

Problem

According to WHO, 2.1 billion people in the world do not have access to safe drinking water at home and more than twice without basic sanitation.

Pain

The same study points out that the lack of potable water in the world is related to 80% of deaths and diseases in developing countries.

Market

Using data from NASA Earth Observatory to monitor water quality in the world and the Joint Monitoring Program (PCM) for Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene we identified the major regions of the world that demand water potability solutions.

Scientific background

Thus, they seek to identify a sustainable and affordable alternative for surface water treatment. Through the study of scientific research carried out around the world, we identified that the seed of the moringa oleifera plant originating in India has useful properties for the treatment of surface waters, that is, making the water suitable for consumption, being an organic alternative to the water. use of aluminum sulfate. Moringa seed can be used in combination with aluminum sulfate for wastewater treatment of industries that obtain good results.

Impact
