The Challenge | Spot That Fire V2.0

Your challenge is to create an application that leverages NASA's near-real-time and archival wildfire datasets along with other tools to support firefighting and fire mitigation efforts. This challenge builds on last year’s challenge of the same name by calling for innovative ideas and apps that focus on how to engage and enable citizens to assist with the entire firefighting and fire mitigation process.

One of the most important goals for each person is to ensure safety in the field of fire safety.Without hesitation, you can understand that our actions in this respect are banal simple:
- do not litter the green spaces;
- do not leave sources of fire;
- the creation of structures that prevent the spread of dangerous fire factors.
But alas, that’s not all. It is also important in the case when troubles can not be avoided - to respond quickly and accurately.

About programm:

Our software is intended for alert user about fires. For example in forests, nature reserves and etc. Programm in dependence on user’s location will show country map and bordering areas. Fire areas will be assigned by a mark. By clicking on the mark you can see the data about the fire: fire type, date of fire and size. All information will be taken from database, that takes information from NASA satellites and updates every 15 minutes. Incident data will be kept 24, 48 hours or 7 days in dependence on user’s choice.

Programming language and framework :

The program is implemented in the programming languages C ++, JavaScript and QML using the Qt framework.
