Our team Krobacorp worked on problem named 'Spot that fire' and we came up with an innovative solution that can work globally.

The solution we designed and built is the FirePin application. Our app allows users who have spotted a fire to notify all people who has our application within a one kilometer radius by marking the location where they spotted that fire.In that way, people will know about the danger, and it will allow them to take some precautions until firefighters arrive, therefore they might as well save a life. All the people who received the notification will also be able to indicate whether the notification is true or false, and the user will be rated based on that. These measures were introduced because of false alarms.In case of false alarm the radius will be reduced so that next time less people will be disturbed, but we are working on further restrictions.

In the future, we intend to cooperate with the fire service, when the user evaluates the situation, he will be able to choose the option to send them the location of the accident also with all necessary info and that they can respond immediately, because it is much faster than the call itself. We also intend to enable mobile SMS for people who do not have our app or have an outdated telephone, to get a message on the phone that the fire is nearby

Main future project is going to be cooperation with NASA satellites, when there are no people around, satellite in cooperation with AI can be used to pin location instead of person, and automatically inform the nearest fire department. This idea is for preventing fire from spreading in large areas like jungles and everywhere where information cannot spread quickly.
