Using Cobalt Chloride II we will analyze the humidity of the air and along with the temperature and wind direction data provided by NASA, our app detects the most at-risk fire locations and alerts nearby users to stay in one. alert state. The humidity indicator can also be viewed in person, helping those without internet access to guard against a possible fire.
Users can upload short photos and / or videos (up to 5s) along with their geolocation as soon as they find a fire occurring. Photos and videos will be reviewed, if the information is true, users and nearby authorities will be alerted.
We developed an application that together with arduino and cobalt chloride tape that promises, with your help, to reduce the disasters caused by fire. Our amazing ribbon, made of cloth and bathed in a solution of cobalt chloride II,changes color according to the current humidity and temperature, if the ribbon isblue it is a dry and hot weather if it turns pink, indicates that the weather is wetand cold.
Our idea was developed from the Barcelos roosters, or also known as time roosters here in Brazil. Besides being a good weather indicator, widely used by older Brazilians, it is super cheap, allowing us to manufacture our equipment easily and cheaply.
Analyzing the data provided by NASA, we will strategically position our device in some locations, so people who do not have internet access can have a way of warning when the days are most favorable for fires.
Our sensors will provide us with some data, which will be sent to the satellites, which combined with the data provided by NASA our app will analyze the possibility of a fire and notify users to be alert.
The Pandora Project was developed for all people. Visually impaired people will be able to install the app on their device, and when their region is at risk of fire, the app will send a voice message warning that the area is fire-prone.
