The Challenge | Surface-to-Air (Quality) Mission

Your challenge is to integrate NASA data, ground-based air quality data, and citizen science data to create an air quality surface that displays the most accurate data for a location and time. Create algorithms that select or weight the best data from several sources for a specific time and location, and display that information.

The problem that we want to face is the low resolution in the air quality by increasing the data resolution we can monitor pollution caused to the environment in different areas and those low cost devices can gather data around the neighborhoods so we can see in real time the pollution and provide open data for analyzation. Almost 4.5 million humans die from ambient exposure to pollution [1] and European union is rolling out derivatives for the air standards [2] in those are stated guidelines for the pollution exposure time and quantity for each pollutant. Our solution therefore can measure the changes after each passed regulation and provide useful insights for future global decisions, for the everyday user it can provide information and alerts for the area that he lives.
