Mobile App able to interpret user habits and generate a visualization of its repercussions on a personal level, that will also be influenced by NASA data, to improve its own habits, create consciousness and generate change.
Why
ConCiencia aims to generate consciousness about how we are the principal factor damaging our world. We want a better future. Actually, we want an real future.
What
Mobile App that collects and interprets the user's habits to generates a visualization of their repercussions on a personal level through an ecosystem that will vary depending on the user's habits (good or bad). Simultaneously, NASA data will be used to track disasters occuring around the world that will also affect the user´s ecosystem to generate awareness in these events.
How
User behavior will define 80% of the ecosystem status, divided in 2 sections to gain points to improve your island; the first will show activities and daily challenges. For example: volunteering, recycling and other actions that help you reduce your carbon footprint. In addition, we plan an alliance with country brands such as Esencial Costa Rica to allow the users to gain points by using products or services from companies allied to the program.
The other 20% is given by NASA data, here global issues (wildfires, carbon emissions, globe temperature, sea level and others) will affect user´s virtual ecosystem by burning trees, killing animals or an action related to the problem presented.
Nasa Data Source
As a reference we use data generated by AIRS and AQUA, the satellites from NASA. From this references we took the following information:
- Temperature
- Ice sheets
- Sea surface temperature
- The evaporation of the oceans.
- Vegetation cover
- Carbon emissions

This data is the data that will be constantly updating the globe inside the app in order to merge this information with the user, generating a unique learning experience.
Store data
ETL is a process applied to select relevant data from external databases and then it will be inserted and processed in a new database. Mebitat will have a NoSQL database to store users information, their actions, their progress and all that could be important to the app.
