Background:

We chose this theme because we believe that getting back to the Moon can not only inspire billions of people but can also accelerate the advancement of modern technologies. As the NASA's Artemis mission is going to take place in 2024, we believe that it is beneficial to prepare the whole world for this big event and show people that we can all experience the upcoming landing on the Moon.

What it does:

Our team created a program for the upcoming five years to build up the interest of the general public and spread the hype of NASA's mission Artemis all over the world. Ultimately reaching the highest point in 2024, when a worldwide VR party will be held on the Moon. This way not only a few lucky astronauts will get to feel the Moon, but the whole world will experience this life-changing event in unity.

The previously mentioned program will consist of:

1. Facebook and Instagram filters, which we plan to release into the social media by the beginning of the 2020 (the prototype currently is waiting for Facebook to approve it), which will attract the attention of social media users to the Artemis program. The filters will be updated weekly and promoted by influencers.

2. An app, which will feature challenges (such as going the distance to the moon and helping make Artemis mission zero waste (collecting needed plastic, eliminating carbon footprints, etc.). We have a prototype of how it should look like.

3. VR festival at the Moon, where we're expecting to bring 5 billions people to celebrate coming back to the Moon together with the astronauts there. We've already launched a Facebook event and invited more than thousand people to attend it, we believe it will go viral.

The local mentors were helpful and helped for us to pivot our idea to VR festival on the moon in 2024.

Future Plans

Our program itself is a 5 year program, so, naturally we will not stop after the Space App Challenge and will work towards our goal to reach the whole world and make the biggest VR party on the Moon. We will promote our facebook event and invite all the facebook users. In addition, with the help of the engineers and the new technologies and solutions, which will be developed until 2024, our VR Moon party could consist not only of VR glasses provided experience, but even maybe feeling the gravity of the Moon.
