We propose an efficient and yet simple way to avoid getting dangerous moon particules inside the lunar module. We combined many proven systems to ensure the safety of our astronauts. Our main objective is to minimize the contact between objects that were exposed to the moon dust and the atmosphere of the lunar module. The biggest problem during the apollo missions was that the dusty suit was taken inside the capsule, polluting the air and making it hard to breathe for the astronauts.
“After lunar liftoff . . . a great quantity of dustfloated free within the cabin. This dust madebreathing without the helmet difficult, and enoughparticles were present in the cabin atmosphere toaffect our vision. The use of a whisk broom prior toingress would probably not be satisfactory in solvingthe dust problem, because the dust tends to rubdeeper into the garment rather than to brush off”
