Asteria is an educational game that aims to supply any course with a source of visualization that enables students to imagine a specific law and understand the concept efficiently in small amount of time with a kind of entertainment.

Asteria

Problem:

It is so hard for most people to imagine the interactions between planets and stars. Most of astronomy laws and formulas are not that easy to be understood even if using equations and numbers. For example, let’s say Kepler laws, I can say that planets orbit the sun in an elliptical shape so and so. Not all of us will realize that or understand it properly.

Solution:

our goal is to supply any course with a source of visualization that enables students to imagine a specific law and understand the concept efficiently in small amount of time with a kind of entertainment. Another goal to be achieved is to improve students’ strategic thinking and their ability to solve a problem. So we are going to create an educational game that helps user to interact with space but based on physical concepts. For instance, inverse square law, user should enter reasonable sizes of the two objects with accurate distance between them so as to avoid any collision.
