AIM: to create a planet within a solar system that is capable of sustaining human life
Select sun in hot-bar
Star type
Note that rock planets form in warmer regions closer to star and gas planets in the cooler regions further from star
Red dwarf àhttps://www.britannica.com/science/red-dwarf-star)

Blue giant àhttps://www.universetoday.com/24587/blue-giant-sta...)
Select planet in hot-bar
Distance from star
Depends on star type (see information above)
Composition
Gas (Depends on distance from star – further away)
Rock (Depends on distance from star – closer)
Size
Depends on star type (see information above)

Calculations
Planet size based on our solar system
Star radius * 0.1005176058 = max radius km
Star radius * 0.003508217 = min radius km
Planet distance from star
Star radius * 2061.79638 = max distance km
Star radius * 83.2626418 = min distance km
Distance where rock planets end and gas planets begin, based off Jupiter’s position
Star radius * 1119.322512 = distance km
Goldilocks zone
Star radius * 1119.523547 = max distance km

Challenges faced
During coding some challenges faced included learning new concepts to implement in the game and calculating many sums at the same time.
We also tried to include the most amount of NASA data and images possible to make our game an accurate representation of the solar system with a scaled model and constant calculations running. Things like calculating the mass of a gas/rock planet due to gravity, calculating the gravity, mass, acceleration due to gravity.
We split our team into different sections to play to our strengths with different areas such as coding, ui design, research, presentation and much more.
