To democratize science knowledge in the world, giving everyone opportunities to learn and be inspired to make the world a better place. We believe it is best to educate so that there are fewer problems in the future.
All members of the group are passionate about teaching and have a huge ease with games, thinking of this an opportunity to unite the desire to share knowledge, creating tools that facilitate learning worldwide was our greatest inspiration.
The challenge required an interactive game to teach people, but our solution goes beyond that, it acts directly in the science teaching mode in institutions. Bringing an interactive, intuitive and fun methodology for the student to deepen their knowledge. A narrative was created for the game, where the player immerses himself in the universe and applies all his knowledge in practice, in addition to learning along with the advancement of the game.
In the beginning the biggest complication was to get in synergy with everyone, as the group is very diverse in age, knowledge and worldview. There were dropouts and many divergences of ideas, but all of these differences eventually helped the project to succeed, as the diversity of ideas resulted in a diverse inclusive project concerned with the common good. During the 2 days we were able to complete the challenge, advance the ideas and create prototypes of the game, as well as make friends and share knowledge.
We worked with NASA on a large part of our project, as all visual concepts of the game were based on agency images and the specific knowledge applied in the game was taken from the database information provided.
The expansion project will need more scientific support because it is a universe simulator, so we need expert professionals to help simulate all possibilities with extreme precision. From physicists and chemists, to programmers and designers to refine the tool.
We have no doubt that we going work on this in future! Because what we build here has a lot of potential to become an extremely accurate and didactic teaching tool. Our love for the project will also help us achieve greater goals.
The game was created using Godot Software with its native language GD Script. This engine was used in partnership with other design softwares such as Illustrator and Photoshop to create the concepts.
