The Challenge | Out of This World!

Create an app to pilot an unmanned aerial system (UAS), such as a NASA space drone, utilizing the 6-axis gyro sensor within a smartphone or tablet. The piloting app can be combined with multiple sensors for flight precision and the best maneuverable flight techniques for off-Earth planetary drones.

ANDRONE

We use an ordinary drone to which we implement different types of algorithms for the six-axis gyroscopic sensor, using an Android application which we created with the Android studio and Arduino IDE programs.

  1. ·In the drone we add rain and smoke sensors (MQ-2) so that with these the drone when recognizing substances such as rain or smoke will move away. We managed to control the drone with the Android app using the controls and add sensors so that the drone doesn't land in places like fire or with nearby obstacles.
