Your challenge is to generate a virtual reality environment or game related to the James Webb Space Telescope’s mission. Allow the user to follow Webb on its journey from launch to its final destination in orbit a million miles away from Earth!

we are building a VR educational and collaborative game using james webb telescope Data destination principally for KIDS but also for Adults , helping them know more about this telescop and also explore all phases of our cosmic history !

THE CHALLENGE | UP, OUT AND AWAY

Generate Virtual Reality environments for the whole space from the different periods and transformations of our universe.

Obtain 3D models from NASA resources and the images taken with JAMES WEBB TELESCOPE.

Integrate 3D models of surface exploration systems and habitats.

Develop and deploy the virtual world at a hosting service.

The main goal of this challenge is to create a VR experience that enables the public to explore the benefits of James Webb telescope.


BEYOND-SPACE



Motivation

Kids were always curious about the night sky and what was beyond it. We, humans, reached the moon and have taken the first footsteps on the lunar surface through the Apollo 11 mission which was a giant step for mankind. NASA didn't stop there and wanted to discover the history of all galaxies and planets through a new telescope that will be launched in 2021.

We team ESISTRAUNOTS, created a virtual immersive experience which will bring the space close to us like never before.

Only 12 astronauts have walked on the moon in the history of mankind. So it is quite rare to be this close to the universe. In BEYOUND SPACE we tried to give the user an opportunity to explore the beauty of our space .



Solution

We have created three levels for now. One of them is to explore the telescope of James Webb, its components and its mission, which is known as "Construct". This telescope is viewed in 3d from inside and outside. At the end of this level the player will have a puzzle to reconstruct this telescope.

The second level is launching and landing space "Launch". The user can interact with the launching of the spacecraft and the generation of james Webb telescope, the space craft from inside and outside and the astronauts.

And the third level is the most interesting one. The player will be able not only to choose the planet or the galaxy to go but also choose the period of construction of this destination. Data collected by AAA James webb's telescope has been described as essential for planning NASA's future human and robotic mission to the space.

This game is focuses on attracting more kids so we created a virtual assistant to guide them through the entire experience. The kid can choose his own assistant it can be his favourite cartoon ( sponge Bob, spiderman,dora) or another player that can be his friend, father,mother ...

We used google cardboard SDK to create BEYOUND SPACE which is widely supported by low-cost VR headsets the data collected frorom the telescope is automatically clasifiedthrough a deep learning algorithms. That means this game will be available to a wide range of users without any visible cost.

As young generations can easily experience Beyound space, they will be much more curious about the outer world.
