Beginning with the design or concept of a current aircraft or spacecraft, your challenge is to engineer the design of the first aircraft or spacecraft with no wires, connectors, or penetrations! You may choose to add functions that the original vehicle does not have. Be sure to identify future aerospace applications as specifically as possible.

Our team has been focused on building a concept of a reliable, secure and cost-efficient wireless network to the need for spacecraft internal and external information exchange..

One important aspect of moving from a wired to a wireless network in spacecraft has to do with the cost reduction mainly related to construction costs, maintenance cost and weigh reduction and its consequence on fuel consumption. That should be enough motivation to move in the wireless direction. Other motivations has to do with the reliability, redundancy and secure of the information system. For that reason we have decided to divide or conceptual proposal into two core solutions : 1. Spacecraft internal communication. Relating to the exchange information that occurs internally among the avionics, crew and eventually passangers. 2. External Communication. Relating to the need to exchange communication to a net of satellites, spacecraft fleet and earth bases.

Our concept for the internal core goes to shield the entire spacecraft using functional material in order to impede the electromagnetic interference, hacking attack as a few examples. We suggest the use of currently proved communications protocols in order to differentiate the kind of data traffic among avionics, crew and eventual passangers. The main challenge here is to find the right mix of materials that would shield the spacecraft properly and could support aggressive environment.

Talking about to the most important part of our complete concept solution which is the outside network of communication we point out the use of quantum entanglement as a solution at the frontier of the science.

We propose here a tool-based solution of quantum physics, where the concept of superposition was used to explain quantum entanglement and show how information can propagate safely and “instantaneously”.
