Astro Angels has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We approached this challenge in an inventive way. Our goal was to develop a concept for a space travelling agency that will have an effective business plan, advanced technology, and strong marketing materials.
Initially we extensively researched the current available technology for space transportation, and therefore predicted its future evolution. In addition to this, we made blueprints for 4 new engines, namely, a Fusion Engine, a Black Hole Drive, an Antimatter Drive, and a Helical Engine. These engines, although more challenging to create, will drastically reduce the traveling time.(from 120,000 years to Proxima Centauri B to 3.3 years, from the traveler's perspective, if the hibernation chamber is not at use) In addition, we also developed a plan for a hibernation chamber that will completely preserve the human body on longer trips and will reduce, even stop, the aging process. The full information regarding the physics behind these inventions is portrayed on our prototype website.

Next, we fully researched through the available studies on 2 potentially habitable planets, one near (Proxima Centauri B), and one further away (Trappist 1D). Our prototype website features personal stories and explanations of how some environmental differences, such as a different gravity or a planet being tidally locked, could affect the customer's lifestyle. This makes the website emotionally appealing, and will therefore attract more visitors.
Further, we developed a strategic business plan that ensures investor’s interest in our company. A brief outline of the plan is as follows:
-Target large corporations, private space companies, and rivaled governments as potential investors, since the tension between the opposing sides will make them more interested
-Acknowledge how they will make profit. Since our travel agency will organize trips to ProximaCentauri B and Trappist 1D, they will be the shareholders and receive up to 40% ofthe profit from the sold tickets. In addition, the spaceship that will go tothe rocky planet Proxima B will be able to carry back 1 million liters of oil, diamonds, ans other valuable materials due to its powerful engine. This ship will return to earth in 20 to 30 years and we will give the oil and other natural resources to the investors which they can then sell to the general public.(NASA's new space telescopes, by the late 2020s will find with more accuracy the chemical composition of the planets, therefore our data on natural resources in 2045 will be reliable) Finally, since data is one of the most currently valuable assets on the planer, investors will alsobe able to send their own space telescope, or other research equipment, to Trappist 1D and then sell the data, that will be received hopefully within their lifetime (40 to 50 years), to other smaller science corporations.
-To ensure the investors that the general public will travel with OUR company, they will be presented with the prototype website that is emotionally, as well as scientifically appealing. They will also see a prototype commercial, receive pamphlets, and hear our plans for promoting our agency through education programs that will target the younger generation, since they will be our future customers.
