The Challenge | From Curious Minds Come Helping Hands

Your challenge is to design and build an innovative platform to integrate satellite data and information about vulnerable populations and environmental hazards in order to identify the most at-risk populations. BATS or Blind Assisting Tool using Sensors is aimed to help the blind experience the world from a whole new perspective.

Project 4see-S

Our team, Project 4-See S, is dedicated to helping the blind experience the world from a whole new perspective.

As a team, we have been curious about the blind and how they are able to live in the present world. Through research, we were able to know the different practices they have in order to help them communicate and live their day-to-day lives. Our project will be using ultrasonic sensors in order to sense the objects nearby and incorporate it with the Open Data from NASA in order to give the necessary information to help the blind navigate inside their house.
