Our Idea is to curb the main cause of climate change in the 21st century, that is Industries and their unsupervised production.

THE PROBLEM:

Within the last 50 years, we have seen the ppm rising beyond the level we have not seen in the last millennia. This can be attributed to mainly human activities over the last few decades are quite against the environment. We have seen rapid growth in industries, fossil fuel consumption and production have increased significantly, and the air quality has worsened. However, this does not stop at this, we are witnessing one of the most interesting and yet depressing phenomena, CLIMATE CHANGE. In the last century, we have seen the increase in the average temperature of our globe by 2 degrees and is expected to go even further to 3 degrees in a couple of decades. This change might not sound you a lot, but this is average change. It means that for some places the temperature rise will be much more than they have ever experienced. And we have witnessed this in the year 2019 itself. 2019 is the hottest year for many countries in their entire history, with many countries in Europe witnessed temperature of 40 Celcius, which is highly unprecedented.

THE FINDINGS:

We have found out that one of the major things causing climate change is industrial pollution, especially industries based on fossil fuel production like Oil companies. These companies have contributed to a significant amount of pollution and causing climate change.

The following companies we find out, are the top most responsible Industries:

• ARAMCO, Saudi Arabia
• Gazprom OAO, Russia
• National Iranian Oil company, Iran
• Exxonmobil Corp, USA
• Coal India, India

These companies are responsible for almost one third of the co2 emissions. And all of them are fossil fuels based companies. These findings compel us to work in this direction to fight this issue,

THE PROJECT:

We are creating a website that will help people know about the climate change and its direct effects on their day to day lives. Our website will work as a information provider & as a platform for the community. People can join our cause and can share their experiences and their thoughts and their findings on climate change and the methods to curb its effects.

WHY AWARENESS?:

Another thing we find out is that these companies are producing at such a high rate is because the demand is also very high. People are not aware of the consequences these mass production will do to our planet. We, therefore, are creating a website that will be aiming at creating awareness among the common people as to why they have to change their habits to stop climate change.

We are also aiming at providing a platform for people to come and share their thoughts with other people through our website. We are trying to provide data about the change, and people who are most affected by this. The very immediate effects are on the people living in the coastal areas as the sea level is rising due to the warming of our planet.

HOW SOLUTION?

We are providing a platform for people to have a direct information about how the climate change is going to effect them and their lives. We are also providing them with the small changes they can incorporate into their lives to avoid climate change from harming any furhter.We are also providing a space to intelligent minds of our planet to come together and give small solutions for common people like the perks of public transport and renewable energy. At last it is a long way ahead.

ULTIMATE GOAL & FUTURE:

Our ultimate aim is to provide people with the changes they can incorporate into their lives to bring a positive change worldwide. We will start this by posting articles about the direct effects of climate change, as people are not interested if they are not affected directly. Since climate change does affect them directly, we are telling them this.

People can also join our cause through our website and share their insights and experiences with climate change, and what habits they are adopting now to avoid those things from repeating.

In the end, we are optimistic about the future of our earth as many people are coming together to save their planet. We hope to see the CO2 levels to be again normal, people aware about their environment, taking small steps to protect the nature. We are also optimistic about the change people are going to bring to their lives like becoming less dependant upon fossil fuels and using harmless alternates like electric cars, solar energy, etc.
