Overview

PROTECT the living creatures before it is too late. This beautiful world is facing the risk of extinction because of clumsy human being.

The human being behavior is not destroying the living creatures only, but the entire LIFE on earth.

We have been experiencing a horrible climate change because of the GLOBAL WARMING rising since the industrial age.

Based on some collected data, we observed a high rise in warming Gas emissions just like Carbon, Natural Gas...

Those Gas substances emissions are considered the most common reason to cause the so-called Phenomenon ‘The Global Warming’.

As a result:

  • Wildlife is facing an extinction at higher rates (Penguins, polar bear, giraffes…).
  • Oceans became miserably acidic and unhealthy for aquatic creatures in particular.
  • Air is being dirty and poisonous for all living creatures on the whole globe.
  • Therefore, we started facing higher death rates for humans, animals and even plants because of the frequent severe weather that is causing both earth poles to melt resulting in higher sea levels.

In fact, The whole weather is badly affected.

Who do you think is responsible about all of this?

Of course the Human being !

Humans created their own destruction methods by inventing mechanical cars, making polluted products themselves and built industries that are the most serious reason for the GLOBAL WARMING that is hitting the earth since decades.

We have to do something to harmonize the rhythm of our climate and save our home.

In order to reduce the most we can from the GLOBAL WARMING and power consumption causing harmful pollution to this poor environment, we brought up the alternative solution resource for electricity providing.

Concept

The concept used in our solution is the transformation of mechanical energy into electrical energy through ‘Piezoelectric’.

Our research says that this concept is already used in some other projects but it costed those lots of money and expertise for its maintenance.

That’s why we found a solution to facilitate its maintenance and get rid of binding substances like cement.

We propose also a new design that’s metal-based small pieces to replace cables and lower the cost of the final product.

We named our project as follows: Electrical Floor Tile.

Figure I: Main Scheme of Our Concept.

Figure II: Our New Proposed Design.

Figure III: Our Prototype.

Our prototype is different compared to the other existing prototypes in the same field. We use plastic pieces in the extremity of the tile so all the weight is absorbed easily.

We also use hydraulic method (Pressure or Mercury) to transform it to a small spring to provide the piezoelectric with the needed mechanical energy to get electrical energy.

We simulated our model using Matlab/Simulink and got a voltage around 0.8 V.

After some research, we found out that a piece of tile with dimensions 11x11x0.3 cm provide an amount of power equal to 1.9 Wh. Consequently, the current in this case equals 2.25 A.

The main idea of a piezoelectric functioning is very common, it’s based on deferential of potential that allows the charge to move then create electricity which is transported from one tile to another using the metal pieces into the tile that we want to make.

Target Market

Airports, hospitals, super Markets. These places are known of considerable number of pedestrians. At the same time, they need light power.

This way, we guarantee enough power production and a good use of it.

Future Vision

  • Electricity cables expenses decreased.
  • In case of power over production, battery storage is a possibility.
  • Multi-usage for more than to provide just light power.
  • Large promotion of the idea to be welcomed by train stations, tramway and metro stations also.

Finally, we are just trying to produce free green power, technically from our daily activity as walking to help reduce polluting resources usage on the globe and make life better for all the livings.
