Fifty years ago, generations were inspired when humans made a giant leap and walked on the moon. Today, NASA is committed to returning to the moon and beyond! Your challenge is to create an artistic work to communicate, inform, or inspire others about humanity’s return to the moon.

The moon is on tour! Come to your nearest city, be inspired by this giant inflatable moon. Download our App, scan it, discover and join us in this exciting adventure!
Background and objectives
Past generations were inspired by the first moon landing, however this interest decayed shortly after. Our aim is to show new generations how exhilarating the future of space can be. With this we will not only motivate youngs to follow careers in this field but also future leaders that can support the development of the space career.
The project and NASA resources
In order to fulfill our objectives we will use the following elements:
- A giant 50 m inflatable moon with the NASA map printed on it that will tour around some of the biggest cities in the world. This will not only attract a lot of curious but also media and reach millions of people.
- An APP that when scanning the inflatable moon, shows you a 3D map with different NASA retrieved information such as landing sites, geographic landmarks, etc. It will also contain a quiz to learn interactively fun fucts about the moon. For those that cannot attend the event, the real moon can be scanned as well to access our content.
- Finally, the moon world tour will be accompanied by a series of educational and inspiring talks by experts and NASA employees.
