Join NASA's #SpaceApps Challenge 2019 Hackathon event, a global competition where thousands of teams worldwide work to solve challenges proposed by NASA engineers and scientists. Help humanity better its understanding of the Earth and our place in the Cosmos and solve some of the great issues we face as a species, both down here and up there, among the stars. Scientists, artists, programmers, students, innovators, makers and anyone with a creative mindset is welcome!

Groups of 3 to 5 people will tackle the challenges proposed by NASA. Participants can choose to attend as part of a fixed group or, alternatively, build their groups during the event. At the "pre-event" meet-up on Friday 18th all attendees will have a chance to get to know each other and exchange ideas in order to start consolidating the event teams!

The two winning teams of the #SpaceAppsMadrid event will be chosen to enter the global competition., where NASA judges will determine the best solutions worldwide for the proposed challenges.

Event organizers and collaborators will be available to lend help and answer questions from the begining of the event, on Friday, until Sunday. Scientific and Tech mentors will also be on-site to provide attendees with live feedback for their ideas and proposals.

Únete al Hackathon de la NASA #SpaceApps Challenge 2019, una competición global donde miles de equipos a nivel mundial trabajan para resolver retos propuestos por científicos e ingenieros de la NASA. Ayuda a mejorar nuestra comprensión sobre la Tierra y el lugar que ocupamos en el Cosmos y a resolver algunos de los grandes problemas a los que se enfrenta la humanidad, tanto aquí abajo como allá arriba, en las estrellas. Científicos, artistas, programadores, estudiantes, innovadores, makers y cualquiera con una mentalidad creativa es bienvenido.

Se formarán equipos de entre 3 y 5 personas que deberán afrontar uno de los retos propuestos por NASA. Los participantes pueden optar por asistir como parte de un grupo ya formado o, por el contrario, formar sus equipos de cara al evento; durante el "pre-evento" del Viernes 20 todos los asistentes tendrán ocasión de conocerse entre sí y empezar a intercambiar ideas para consolidar los grupos de trabajo.

Los dos equipos ganadores de la competición de #SpaceAppsMadrid serán elegidos para participar en la competición global en la que jueces de la NASA determinarán las mejores soluciones a nivel mundial para cada uno de los retos propuestos.
