Awards & Nominations

MidDayDreams has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!

Global Finalist

The Challenge | Up, Out, and Away!

Your challenge is to generate a virtual reality environment or game related to the James Webb Space Telescope’s mission. Allow the user to follow Webb on its journey from launch to its final destination in orbit a million miles away from Earth!

In2the Beginning

In2the Beginning is a educative game based on assembling, launching and Quest of James Web Space Telescope. This game will let the gamers know facts and information about what will JWST seek and how will it find the answers of unsolved mysteries.

MidDayDreams

James Webb Space Telescope(JWST), Our next eye, is a scientific Marvel, which will be our premiere source of astronomical data of the next decade. We have planned an Educative game based on JWST. Players will learn different facts and a working paradigm of JWST while playing in a different role. A player will assemble different parts of JWST and learn information about modules. The level of the launching of Ariane-5 from ELA-3 facilities of French Guinea will give the gamer the opportunity of the project manager of the launching mission. If a player fails to do a specific task within a specific time, the mission will fail, as the JWST mission is very sophisticated and any mismatch in the calculation may reduce the mission lifespan, even can fail the mission. The next level will show the orbit of JWST and info and facts about JWST orbit. The Lagrange point 2 and it's pros. A level will show how to weigh a central black hole of a galaxy using infrared image data of relative speed of stars orbiting towards it. The role of a player in this level will be Astrophysicist. A player will seek habitable Exoplanets and search for blueprints of molecules related to life after of spectra. We have plans to add the future about the different quests of JWST.

We are towards a milestone on astrophysics that will help us to know the origin of the Universe. By the dedication of thousands of engineers, NASA builds a successor of Hubble Space Telescope named James Webb Space Telescope. Now MidDayDreams is making a game where different levels with a different role to create, design, control the JWST and finally, observe the creation of a universe.
Level 1:
As the first step is creating the JWST, we will build this telescope by combining its parts at Level 1. After finishing the first level, your role as an engineer will secure.

Level 2:
Now your role is to manage the project to send this JWST to Space through a heavy-lift launch vehicle. For this, we select Ariane-5, an expendable launch system, which will launch from French Guiana.

Level 3:
After launching we have to set this telescope at the second Lagrange point(L2), 1.5 million kilometers (1 million miles) away from earth, where it will encircle the Sun. Here it will stay in line with the earth makes it defended from the light and heat of Sun and Moon. After placing at the correct position you will be a skilled project manager.

Level 4:
At level 4, you have to open it and fit the parts of the JWST like Solar Array Deployment, Initial Mid-course Correction, Antena Deployment, Forward Sunshield Pallet Deployment, Aft Sunshield Pallet Deployment, Tower Deployment, Aft Membrane Cover Release, Forward Membrane Cover Release and so on.

Level 5:
In this level, you will gain a new role as an Astrophysicist and Spectra Analyst. Here, you have to observe the NGC4151, Eye of Sauron, to measure the mass of the central Blackhole.

Level 6:
After finishing level 5, you have to find out a primitive ray and check what was the situation after the first heatwave of Bigbang as an Astrophysicist.

Level 7:
Now your role will change to Astrobiologists where you have to focus on an Exoplanet to find out molecular blueprint and anomalies in print to find a habitable situation for life.
