Team Updates

At this point 1430 MT, We are closing down the team. We were unable to reach critical mass and the hackathon is more than 1/2 over. Thanks for everyone for their interest. I would suggest anyone that was thinking of joining our team, find another in this challenge.

We decided to forego a game engine platform as it’s a web app and just use Google Cloud Platform App Engine to drive the game. It means we will need to code up the physics engine, space plots, object tables and displays, etc. But A) it’s available for free (up to some number of instances and services, B) it’s available around the world, as such could be developed and debugged in multiple regions, C) It’s available in multiple languages Python, Java, Ruby, Go, Node.Js and D) it can be configured to scale automatically based on the number of users,

As such, I have changed the project description list of members to say we need App engine developers and to no longer need a cloud architect (as it’s inherent in the App Engine use).

We started the challenge and created the project.
