Welcome to NASA Space Apps Challenge Girls Club NYC !
Registration is open now, to all women and girls in New York City.
This is our second time hosting the Space Apps Challenge and our first special spinoff hackathon on our own. Space Apps participants in 2018 told us it was the best place for a hackathon they'd seen!
The Lower Eastside Girls Club combines science, art, music, maker shop, fashion and food - no matter which Space Apps Challenge you decide to tackle, we will have helpful women and energetic girls to help on the team.
Please come and enjoy our amazing planetarium, digital labs, and great food from our own kitchen.
Spend the weekend making cool stuff and working with our girls to code and create!
We will have special guests to show you how to use Unity, Open Space, Glitch, Google Cloud, Tilt Brush, and NASA APIs in your projects.
Please note: We will not be staying open overnight on Saturday. Closing time TBD.
Participants under 13 must have a parent or guardian register for them and must attend the entire event with them.

Tech Boot Camp
Workshops in Open Space, Unity, Glitch, and NASA data APIs. Getting ready for the hackathon weekend!
Lunch will be served. Girls attendance highly encouraged; mentor attendance optional.
Wrap up the Boot Camp with new ideas for the hackathon!

Food will be provided to registered participants.
End of day. Teams are allowed to stay until 9pm when the building closes.

Brunch, Wrap Up Your Project
Prepare your presentation, and show your friends and the judges!
Award Ceremony
End of the day, end of the hackathon!
