Space Apps Challenge Sofia -Bulgaria is organised for the seventh year through collaboration and partnership among science community, universities representatives, business organisations, NGOs and students volunteers.

The host of NASA Space Apps Challenge Sofia 2019 is Sofia School of Mathematics "Paisii Hilendarski". Sofia School of Mathematics "Paisii Hilendarski" is one of the leading schools in Bulgaria. Extremely talented and inquisitive Bulgarian children and erudite, inspirational and fully committed Bulgarian teachers have the opportunity to work together at SMG. This leads to extremely high educational results and the school is in the top 3 in the National External Assessment after 7th grade for the whole of Bulgaria and in the top 5 in the National Matriculation Exams after 12th grade again nationally.

For decades, SMG graduates have won national competitions and Olympiads. Then they glorify Bulgaria around the world with their successes in international competitions and competitions in mathematics, informatics, physics, chemistry, biology and more and more scientific fields and disciplines. Today, the Sofia School of Mathematics is one of the schools that have a great number of international Olympic laureates and medalists, and through the success of our students, we prove that the Bulgarian educational system is among the leading in Europe and in the world.
