NASA Innovation Initiative
NASA empowers people from all specialisations (and all skill-levels from amateur to expert) to apply multidisciplinary skills and knowledge to grand challenges, by inviting them to take initiative, think boldly, and act globally. The NASA Brisbane International will be hosted on the 19th and 20th of October 2019.
Innovation Initiative
NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge has become the world’s largest global hackathon, engaging thousands of citizens across the globe to use NASA’s open data to build innovative solutions to challenges we face on Earth and in space.
Global Collaboration
In a world-wide collaboration, local delegates compete against international teams during the weekend-long event. In 2018, the global event took place in 187 locations, where 25,000 participants worked on innovative projects. The international competition attracts talent from a multiplicity of disciplines, including science, engineering, technology, mathematics, health, law, business, education and creative industries.
The event will take place at Avestix Lab at 143 Wickham St Fortitude Valley QLD 4006.
Yes! The event is totally free!
The organizing team is working hard to cover additional expenses such as food and drinks for all participants!
Absolutely! You can join the hackathon as an individual or as a team. If you are looking for teammates, you will have the chance to chat with other participants right at the event opening on Friday evening and create your team or join an existing one!
That would be useful! NOTE: The official registration to the event will happen on Friday evening via the official NASA Space Apps event page.
Bring your laptop, charger and a good mood!
