The Nasa Space Apps Challenge lands for the second year in Ankara!

Take part in this worldwide competition of ideas, find solutions to spatial and terrestrial problems using spatial data and win fantastic local and global prizes!

Regardless of your skills or your education, take your laptop and join us!

Your ideas and your skills can change the world! (Yes, even if you are really bad at math!).

The weekend will be about meeting new people and solving interesting challenges together. Don't let the 'Apps' part put you off, the best teams are often the most diverse teams in terms of age, skills and experience. We have seen great projects made entirely from cardboard!

Participation in the event is completely free.

Anyone can participate, without age limit, children under the age of 15 must be accompanied and carry out the competition with the accompanying persons.

In order for a project to receive an award or be eligible for global assessment, it must be presented on this website via the project page and written in English. The project will be open source.

Organize in a team of 3-6 people.

Choose a challenge ( https://2019.spaceappschallenge.org/challenges/ ) and solve it by designing a solution, which can be an app, an algorithm, but also a video, a sculpture or a research and publish it on the team page. There are several challenges with various levels of difficulty.

WINNERS AND GIFTS

All the participants will be presented with certificates and the winners will be awarded special gifts by our sponsors.

Once the local winners are determined, up to two projects can be nominated by the jury to global judging.

Global Award: NASA Space Apps Challenge Global Judges will award a prize for six categories:

* Better use of hardware

* Best mission concept

* Better inspiration

* Galactic impact

* Best use of data.

* Best use of science

The winners in global will participate in a rocket launch at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida !!!!!!!

(The cost of travel and accommodation to reach the KSC is not included). All launch participants must be associated with the selected project as team members.

During the challenge

Your mentors will be METU YES members,and professionals of the aerospace and technological world.

Qualified experts as jury will be involved to assess the contestants.

The event will be highlighted in social media and TV by the invited media representatives.
